Maldistribution of Wealth:
In the 1920's when the great depression started, there were three classes, lower, middle, and upper class peoples. However, due to an imbalance in supply and demand during the time period, the middle class started to disperse into the others, mainly the lower class. This caused many people to not have jobs at all, and many basic jobs were mass produced to try to fill jobs for the homeless. Jobs such as farming and industry were in high production, however these jobs did not often pay well, furthering the devolopment of lower and upper class indivuals. This is why the great depression was as bad was it was, because of the maldistribution of wealth within the internal american economy.

The Progressive Movement
One of the biggest changes with the progressive movement throughout society came in leaps and bounds with the rights of women in the United States Of America. At the time of the progressive movement, women had very little rights, not even the right to vote as all citizens do now days. The cause for this advancment was women advocasists Jane Addams who helped not only found the WTUL ( National womens trade union league) which helped raise conditions in working enviroments for women, but also the NAWSA (national american womens sufferage assossocation) which is the orginazation that eventually helped to gain women the right to vote, along with the 19th admentment in 1919.

Jp Morgan

John Pierpont Morgan was born April 17, 1837 and after working at his fathers firm for a while, trnasfered to a company in New York, and became a member of Duncan, Sherman & Company. A short time after the Civil War, company owner Anthony Drexel died, in 1893, the firm was renamed J. P. Morgan & Company just a short two years later in 1895. John Morgans rise to power occured in many increments, through refinancing and redevolopment of the railroad industries, such as Albany and Susquehanna Railroad (1869), the New York, West Shore & Buffalo Railroads to the New York Central (1885), Philadelphia & Reading Railroads (1886), and the Chesapeake & Ohio Railroads (1888). Becasue of his ability to reorganize and help finicalize many companies, Morgan gains the nick name "Morganization". After the reindustrilization of the entire railroad industry, Morgan moves on to stamp his name in the books of Shipping and Steel. Morgan was at one time figured to own , through all his busisness directories, over 22 Billion Dollars, this was more then the worth of all 22 states west of the Mississippi! Morgan also revcieved his fathers companies after his death.

WildWildWest Versus Reality Comparison.....

I watched #'10 to Yuma, this western was an exact match to the myth of Western Culture in the eyes of Americans. The climax of the movie plays with the idea of the myth and showcaes the exact importance of the characters involved. From their wide brimmed leather hats, to their black leather chaps and matching mustangs, to their lightening fast reflexes often involving a pile of slain indians or evil cowboys, 3:10 To Yuma was no disappointment. However, as great a movie it was, and as idealy as it portrayed the myth about the WildWildWest, in reality the "Cowboys" of the real american west were no more than cattle watchers. There was no Epic Duels or indian hunting. No bounty hunters, or all time famous gangs such as Jesse James. Most Cowboys were exactly as the n
ame suggest, boys that handled and watched over cattle as they were moved from place to place. Most cowboys wernt even White Men, as is the case in 99% of all westerns, over half of the cowboys were Black Men, and even some of other Ethnicity joined in to the melting pot of the WildWildWest. But, if your a fan of the Western movie as am i, expecially a good one, then this is a no brainer to walk down and rent or even buy from the local video shop. You wont be disapointed.

Education ... Views both good and bad.
Education changed greatly during the 1800's as women were allowed to start into schooling. Schooling in this time period started leaning more towards the middle class, and being accessable to people in this class. Women, although allowed to attend schools, did not often learn the same crafts as men. They were often taught how to sew, cook, or how to be "Good Mothers". Where as men were tought tools of trade and craft. The higher scoiety members were tought of course the more pretisage jobs, such as law and medicine careers. So although not all at once, education was expanding overall for most whites. But for blacks, education still remained at a zero level tolerance, and was not seen anywhere.
