Education ... Views both good and bad.

Education changed greatly during the 1800's as women were allowed to start into schooling. Schooling in this time period started leaning more towards the middle class, and being accessable to people in this class. Women, although allowed to attend schools, did not often learn the same crafts as men. They were often taught how to sew, cook, or how to be "Good Mothers". Where as men were tought tools of trade and craft. The higher scoiety members were tought of course the more pretisage jobs, such as law and medicine careers. So although not all at once, education was expanding overall for most whites. But for blacks, education still remained at a zero level tolerance, and was not seen anywhere.
